I could see her shallow cheek bones above the water, her nose barely able to get air. Her black swimsuit swarmed around her, floating in the water, almost like she had taken it off. Her eyes looked at me, feigning malice and she floated toward my spot on the wall, grabbing my feet and pulling. I let myself fall in, then go under, my frown returning. She came underwater giggling and kisses my cheek and surfaces, waiting for me to come up. I let my vision go black, waiting for something else to claim me, then I wake up. She is there at the foot of my bed, but much older, a look of worry on her face, a man is there with her, his arm around her shoulders just like I used to do.

Break-up
There they were again, sitting at the table, the broken couple long gone. Almost a month has gone by, still they sit and wonder if the other person can actually see what they’re feeling, and the boy know’s she’s unable to, he knows her better than she does him. Then they go home, and just wait til the day they never see each other again.

A Log Cabin Burns
BOOM! I always loved the sound of thunder, shaking my house right to the foundations. CRASH! The pellets on the roof creating a sense of peace within me. BANG! That was the closest one so far, but fear was not yet settling in, for I still had my TV. BOOM! Now the power was out, I scurried, hurrying to light candles before another bolt struck my home. BANG! I smelled fire, I ran to check the stove, then ran to the back where my cupboard was. CRASH-BANG! The next thing I knew I was running out of my beloved home, fearing for my life, the light was everywhere, I could feel the electricity in the air. CRACKLE-BOOM-BANG! I ran to my truck and drove, tears rolling down my cheeks as I watched my childhood home burn from the rear view mirror.

The Puzzle of Me
So much inspiration
So little time to spare
So much shame, no regrets
Too much to even bear
Domestication of the interrogated
That we don't even know.
Bestiality
Tranquility
Forcing yourself to lie
An unknown force
That made you believe
You shouldn't be alive.
Soulless, forgotten
Combusting at the seams
Finally letting go
Of what I couldn't be.
Get inside my head
Read my mind
How much easier would it be?
You strive for independence
While I just want to be free.
The demon I've had inside me
Finally breaking free
Purge me of my broken heart
My iron defenses creating a false image
Of something that isn't me.
Put the puzzle together
Figure it all out.
No mistakes to make
Not even a shred of doubt
Unlock the secrets
Of heaven and hell
Whatever you want to believe
Deny yourself easy access
To the dark reds and the greens
Understanding indefinitely
Intertwining of the souls
Reactions of power
Concentrated emotion
All of this
Perfect hints
To help you understand
To help you put together
The puzzle pieces
Of exactly what I am
Because your guess
Is just as good as mine.
Regardless, trap that love
Before you let it go
And I'll trap mine
Then this hate will be no more.
Feeling Alone
Emotion is for the weak
But it's a powerful tool for most
Use it correctly and get yourself far
You've no idea when we'll meet our host
Emotion is unpredictable
When will it strike again?
It's always there
And always will be
But it's a burden that puts us through hell.
Emotion is for the caring
Whether you care too much or too little
Emotion will be your bearing
But it will also be your worst nightmare
Attacking you from every angle
Relentless beatings, precise stabbings
It'll feel like your skull might explode.
But this only happens when you're forgotten. Alone.
And there's no one else but the bone of your own.
Rain on The Roof
Patter patter patter
The sound of rain on the roof
Or so you think
Patter patter patter
Millions of foot steps
Of millions of lost souls
Travelling along a broken road
Patter patter patter
You hear them cry
Lost, forgotten, speechless
Ready to die
Sigh, gasp cries
The mourning sounds
Of the forgotten,
The sounds we forget to hear
Patter... patter... patter
Time slows down
As they find each other
Realizing they're all the same.
Hearts cross, arms lock
Forever together, never alone
Similarities bring them together
Solitude, no longer a home
Patter, patter, patter
They reach their destination
Ready for recognition
Their pattering feet, pattering no more.
Evil
The salt of fears
The salt that burns
The wound for years
But keep the salt
Face the pain
Just like you faced
Your fears one day.
Once upon a time
On a fateful day
A grain of salt
Came into play
An evil grain
That sought to build
A larger wound
Than could be healed
Than could be healed
But the sugar of trust
Fought it for years
The evil salt
That came from fear
The clash of pride
A battle in hell
Oppression from one
Revolution from the other
The spirits rose
As brother fought brother
Blood fell
Stinging the ground
As sugar fought harder
Gaining the ounce.
Salt fell off his throne
Fallen down through
His broken home
No longer a bother
To sugar and his dome
There was no left
No fear to feed the salt
No more hatred
Not even a seed
As trust grew his kingdom
His walls and all,
Teaching his subjects
The secrets to love
No more evil resided
Not even a grain of salt.
